The City of Saskatoon is looking into make some changes to the complaint form people have to fill out when it comes keeping track of dog barking during the day. Some of the changes would only require residents to log two to three days of barking rather than the current 5 to 7 days of information that is required. The city says some details are missing from the current four page complaint form including the start and end times of the barking. In 2017, the Saskatoon Animal Control Agency received 321 barking complaints with 47 fines being issued. In the city report heading to committee today (mon), it says more that more information is required for daytime barking to help establish that the barking constitutes as a nuisance. Daytime hours are listed as 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. in the report. Councillors will discuss the topic at today’s (mon) planning, development and community services committee meeting.
