Kindersley RCMP say there was a fatal hit and run on Saturday morning.
Police were called around 5 a.m. to Railway Avenue in Kindersley where a cyclist had been hit by a vehicle. The cyclist, a 21-year-old man from Kindersley, was declared deceased at the scene.
RCMP say the driver fled the scene, but a suspect was located and arrested at a home in Kindersley about an hour later.
Twenty-year-old William Jones of Kindersley is charged with operation of a conveyance while impaired causing death, operation of a conveyance with a blood alcohol concentration equal to or exceeding .08 and failure to stop for a collision causing death.
He is in Kindersley Provincial Court May 21, 2024.
