Bill Waiser, professor emeritus of the University of Saskatchewan has been awarded the J.B. Tyrrell Historical Medal by the Royal Society of Canada. It was given for outstanding contributions to the field of Canadian history. Waiser is the author, co-author, or editor of 17 books including “A World We Have Lost: Saskatchewan Before 1905,” which won the Governor General’s Literary Award for Non-Fiction in 2016. The Tyrrell medal will be presented to Waiser at a special ceremony on November 17th in Halifax.
