This is Vanese Ferguson with Coffee Talk. So, the census. I got to question 78 and I saved it. I’ll finish it up sometime this week. Interesting the questions now being asked and how it reflects society today. Questions about gender, questions about health, questions about languages – I think that will be interesting – to see how many people in Canada do not have English or French as a first language, compared to the last census. All I know is that if my Mom gets a census to fill out, I hope it’s the short one because she’s a senior, her online presence is on her smart phone. And she’s not filling this out on her phone, so her option is then to contact a 1-800 number, enter her secret confidential access code and then follow automated instructions, I guess to have the census sent to her. In addition, she only checks her mail a couple times a month and I’m using her as an example because I suspect she is reflective of many seniors. Again, in my household we apparently got the long form census questionnaire. I am absolutely positive we had to fill out the long form questionnaire five years ago. Makes you wonder why our number came up again for the long form when only 75 per cent of Canadians even get a census Huh. Lucky us.
Ah the delight of filling out a census form
