The Saskatoon Police Service are investigating two stabbings that took place downtown on Saturday night.
The first call came in around 9:40 p.m. from the 200 block of 23rd Street East where a man had been stabbed and bear sprayed.
When police arrived, the victim was being treated by paramedics for non-life-threatening injuries. Officers say a group of males confronted the victim before he was attacked.
And 15 minutes later police responded to a stabbing in the 100 block of 2nd Avenue North in which the caller told dispatch the male had been jumped and was stabbed.
A 32-year-old man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries inflicted again in a similar manner as the first call in that the victim was confronted by a group of males and then assaulted.
Police believe the same suspects are involved in both incidents. Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
