Buy and sell endeavor goes sideways
The Saskatoon Police Service says officers responded to the 400 block of Marlatte Crescent after receiving a report that a firearm had been discharged.
This was Sunday around 10:20 p.m. in the Evergreen neighbourhood and shortly after that call, police received a report of a man had been stabbed and a gun spotted in the 2800 block of Kochar Avenue up in the Marquis Industrial area. Police believed the two reports were related.
Officers arriving at the Kochar Avenue location found two people inside a vehicle; a 35-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man. The man was taken to hospital with stab wounds not believed to be life threatening.
Officers say through their investigation they believe the victims met up with two people at the address in Evergreen to sell a phone. A male and female got in the vehicle and shortly after a third person – a man approached the driver’s side window with a gun, and they allege that when the driver started to pull forward the man in the back seat stabbed the man in the front. The two suspects in the vehicle got out and the third suspect reportedly fired the gun before all three fled.
The Serious assault Unit is investigating and anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

The officer, along with a second unit, tried to pull the vehicle over but it continued southbound on McCormand Drive to the Brighton neighbourhood where it stopped in the 100 block of Gibson Bend.
When officers arrived, there was no one in the vehicle and they followed the male inside a store where he was reportedly trying to harm himself. A conducted energy weapon was deployed, and a 46-year-old man was taken to hospital.
