The Saskatoon Police Service says investigators with the Major Crime Section have made an arrest in connection to the city’s fourth homicide of 2026.
A 27-year-old man was arrested at the Saskatoon Correction Centre Tuesday.
He is in Saskatoon Provincial Court today charged with manslaughter, unlawful confinement, assault, assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, uttering threats to cause death, aggravated assault and multiple weapons related charges.
Around 3:45 a.m. on April 9th, police responded to a report of an injured person in the 500 block of Avenue X. Officers located a 39-year-old man who was unresponsive. He was taken to hospital by Medavie Health Services West and later pronounced deceased.
