The trial begins today (Mon) for a man charged in connection to a 2 vehicle accident where 3 people died in February of 2016. The collision happened near Langham on Highway 16. Robert Major of Corman Park is charged with 3 counts each of dangerous driving causing death and causing bodily harm, and 3 counts each of criminal negligence causing death and causing bodily harm. The initial investigation from Warman RCMP revealed a semi transporting vehicles was heading west on Highway 16 when a truck with 7 people inside that was crossing the road, collided with it. The three people killed were Major’s 26 year old girlfriend and his 2 sons, who were 9 and 4 years old. Two other boys and another man in the truck along with Robert Major survived with injuries, as well as the semi driver. The trial is scheduled in Saskatoon Provincial Court over the next 2 weeks.
