One man is dead and a woman was injured when their car collided head-on with a cube van. Saskatoon RCMP say it happened over the noon hour Thursday on Highway 5, 15 kilometers east of Saskatoon. The woman, who was the passenger in the car, had to be cut out of the vehicle by rescue crews and was taken to Royal University Hospital by STARS Air Ambulance. The driver of the cube van had no visible injuries. The highway was closed while investigator went over the scene. It reopened about six hours later.
