Retail sales in Saskatchewan rose 1.7 per cent August to September. Nationally, sales were up 0.2 per cent. Of the provinces, Saskatchewan had the highest increase. Year-to-year, sales were up 2.7 per cent. Nationally they were up 3.8 per cent. Only British Columbia and Nova Scotia had lower numbers. Retail sales in Saskatchewan totalled a little over $1.6 billion in September.
