Wholesale merchants’ sales were up 0.4 per cent in Saskatchewan in August. Statistics Canada says the national average was a decline of 0.1 per cent. Nevertheless, 5 provinces outperformed Saskatchewan. Year-to-year, the national average was an increase of 3.5 per cent. Saskatchewan bettered that at 4.6 per cent. Still, six provinces did better than us. Wholesale merchants’ sales in the province were at $2.3 billion dollars.
