The President of United Steelworkers 5890 is speaking out against tariffs on steel and aluminum. This after Canada, the U-S and Mexico signed the U-S-M-C-A tri-lateral agreement on Sunday. Mike Day says it feels like the issues of steel workers aren’t being addressed. After hearing Canadian and American officials talk about removing tariffs for months, he says it’s frustrating to see them still in place. Day says steel is still being moved to the United States from Regina, but it’s tough to say how the tariffs might impact future business.
