One officer is in hospital and RCMP members now have a suspect in custody after an incident this morning. Just after 8:30, an officer had stopped a pick-up along Highway 40, 10 miles west of Richard when the driver took off in the truck, then turned around and RCMP say, tried to run down the officer who was outside the police vehicle. The RCMP member’s injuries were serious but non-life threatening. Police initially said they were looking for the vehicle but they have since indicated a suspect is in custody.
