The investigation and clean up continues after last Friday’s bridge collapse in the R.M of Clayton. It appears pilings under the centre span started sinking, and 5 meters toppled into the Swan River. Reeve Duane Hicks says, for the farmers north of the bridge, its a bit of an inconvenience. A new bridge will be built, but Hicks says that could take 3 or 4 weeks or longer, depending on weather.
