Alcohol was not a factor in the accident that claimed the lives of six people near Elrose on June 29th.
Rosetown RCMP report that a northbound SUV with a 71 year old woman from Swift Current, the lone occupant of that vehicle , crossed over into the southbound lane of Highway 4 and crashed into a second SUV with a family of five inside.
Troy Gasper, his wife Carissa and their children Kael, Shea and Maks, died in the crash.
Investigators were unable to determine the reason for the crash with absolute certainty other than the fact that alcohol was not a factor.
