A retired Yorkton doctor convicted of 4 Sexual Assault charges, is headed to prison for 2-and-a-half years.
In Yorkton Court of Queen’s Bench this (Fri) afternoon, the judge also ordered that Mohammed Haque provide a D-N-A sample, abide by a 10-year firearm prohibition, and be placed on the National Sex Offender Registry for the rest of his life.
Following the sentencing, Haque’s lawyer announced he would be appealing the convictions and sentence, and that he would apply for the doctor’s release from custody in the meantime.
Haque was originally accused of assaulting 16 women, following an R-C-M-P investigation that started in 2001, but was found not guilty on 12 of them. (CJGX)
