Retail sales in Saskatchewan rose 1.4 per cent In June from May. That was second highest of the provinces and only slightly behind Manitoba’s 1.8 per cent. Nationally the average was a decline of 0.2 per cent. Statistics Canada says our rise more than offset the decline in May. June-to-June, sales rose here 3.2 per cent. Four provinces were higher but we were only slightly behind the national average of 3.8 per cent. Total retail sales in Saskatchewan in June came in at about $1.7 billion dollars.
