There was the possibility of frost in the forecast overnight in some Saskatchewan locations and Environment Canada registered cool overnight temperatures on the weekend. Overnight Saturday into Sunday morning, in Saskatoon the mercury dropped down to +3 degrees while Swift Current recorded a low of +4. Saskatoon dropped to +3 again this (mon) morning while Prince Albert and Rosetown dipped to an overnight, or early morning, low – of +2 degrees Celsius.
Meteorologist Heather Pimiskern says the cold temperatures overnight could stick around for a couple of days due to a ridge of high pressure is currently over the prairies.
