The NDP has nominated Tammy Bobyk-Jacquemart as the party’s candidate in the upcoming Yorkton-Melville byelection.
She was born and raised in Canora and has since made achievements as a lifelong community advocate, labour leader, and public servant.
Tammy has over 20 years of experience working in health care, giving her a firsthand understanding of the challenges facing health care workers, patients, families, and rural communities.
Bobyk-Lacquemart joins other candidates; Conservative Nelson Pohl, Yorkton Mayor Aaron Kienle for the Liberals, and Green Party candidate Valerie Brooks of Saltcoats.
The byelection comes after former MP Cathay Wagantall announce her resignation several months ago. She was the 10th MP to step down this year.
