The Prince Albert Police Service responded to the 800 block of 15th Street West around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday after receiving a report that a male had pointed a firearm at a taxi driver.
The incident took place when the cab operator was dropping off a passenger in the back alley behind a home. The driver wasn’t injured.
Police contained the home and several people exited including a child. Mobile Crisis stepped up regarding the child and a 23-year-old man who matched the description of the suspect was arrested without incident.
Police believed another male remained inside and because of the possibility of a firearm in the home, the Emergency Response Eam, Canine Unit and RCMP provided an assist.
A search warrant was executed, and another adult male was located in the home and taken into custody. Police also recovered the firearm believed involved in the offence during the search.
The 23-year-old male has been charged with 13 offences, including multiple firearms-related charges.
