The Saskatchewan RCMP Air Services tracked a fleeing stolen vehicle.
On September 25 around 8:30 pm Prince Albert Police Service notified Prince Albert RCMP of a suspect fleeing from police in a stolen vehicle that was believed to be in their jurisdiction. Saskatchewan RCMP Air Services managed to locate the stolen vehicle on Highway #3, south of Prince Albert.
RCMP officers then attempted a traffic stop. The stolen vehicle fled from police, driving on Highway #3 towards Prince Albert.
A short time later, the stolen vehicle was located by RCMP Air Services parked on 20th Street in Prince Albert. The driver was seen fleeing on foot.
Through investigation they found that the driver was impaired and he was arrested.
Now 22-year-old Kaydon Dorion from Prince Albert is charged with:
- one count, operation while impaired of a motor vehicle
- one count, flight from peace officer
- one count, fail to comply with release order condition
- one count, dangerous operation of motor vehicle
Kaydon Dorion appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court on September 28.
