Fifteen organizations have been allocated $1.3 million to repair, renovate and improve accessibility at group homes, respite homes and day programs for people with intellectual disabilities.
The money is coming from the Province as part of the 2026-27 Budget. The projects include accessibility improvements, kitchen and bathroom repairs and renovations, and exterior upgrades to group homes, respite homes and day programs.
Social Services Minister Terry Jenson says, “Investing in facilities helps homes and programs remain welcoming spaces where individuals can build skills, develop relationships and gain greater independence.”
