The Prince Albert Police Service will be bringing their best dogs to Saskatoon soon for the 2026 Canadian Police Canine Association Trials.

The Saskatoon Police Service will be hosting this year’s edition of the trials. PA will bring Police Service Dogs Pando and Ares to demonstrate their training and capabilities in a variety of disciplines, including tracking, building searches, compound searches, criminal apprehension and article searches.

The CPCA Trials bring police canine teams from across Canada together in a competition, providing an opportunity for handlers and their Police Service Dogs to test their skills, learn from other teams and share knowledge and experience.

Constable Brown has been a member of the Prince Albert Police Service Canine Unit for more than eight years and participated in the CPCA Trials two time previously. Constable Brown trained with PSD Pando in Saskatoon last year. The team has been working together as operational partners for about a year and a half.

He said, “We are super excited about the Trials being hosted here in Saskatchewan, and we can’t wait to showcase all of our Saskatchewan K9 units across the province.”

The CPCA trails go from September 10-13.
