A fire at a townhouse complex early Tuesday afternoon in the 700 block of Hart Road has been completely extinguished.

A Saskatoon Fire Department news release said the alarm came in at about 2 p.m. with two crews attending. Upon arrival, they spotted flames and smoke coming from a second story window. Handlines were used on the exterior of the building while a second crew was able to enter the townhouse and fully put out the blaze. There were no occupants at home at the time of the fire with crews checking for fire extension to attic space and adjoining structures. There were no injuries to firefighters or civilians and a fire investigator is on the scene to identify the cause, origin and damage estimate.
