A 78-year-old Maidstone woman has died as a result of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 16.
Monday at noon, Maidstone RCMP were called to the scene west of Marshall.
Officers say an SUV and car collided, and the woman, the driver and sole occupant of the SUV was declared dead by EMS at the scene.
The driver and sole occupant of the car was taken to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
While officers were responding to that collision, a second crash occurred on the same highway nearby. Investigators determined a truck and motorcycle collided. Serious injuries were not reported, but the driver of the truck was issued a ticket for following too closely.
