Saskatoon Police are once again warning the public about a recurring text message scam involving fake traffic violations. Police say the messages falsely claim recipients have a provincial court ticket and direct them to click a link to pay a fine.
Officials stress the messages are fraudulent, and Saskatoon Police will never request payment by text. Residents are being urged to ignore and block the messages, and report any suspected fraud to police or the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
