Traffic restrictions on Manek Road have been lifted following a collision that seriously injured a young cyclist in Saskatoon.

Police say the crash happened around 5:15 p.m. Friday in the 500 block of Manek Road and involved a vehicle and a 12-year-old cyclist.

The child was taken to hospital with serious injuries. An update from Saskatoon Police says the 12-year-old remains in hospital in stable condition.

Members of the Collision Analyst Unit continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Police have not released any additional details about the collision.
