Donation For Children’s Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

A Saskatoon couple is honouring their grandchildren through a $250,000 donation to the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation, for a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit twin room.
Wayne and Debra Grund are owners of Visions Salon & Spa and Surface Hair.
The birth of their twin grandchildren, Abigail and Grace, was a unique one because the twins shared an umbilical cord which meant one baby could disrupt the other’s life support.
The twins are now healthy and recently celebrated their first birthday.
President and CEO of the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation, Brynn Boback-Lane, says the Grund’s thoughtful gift holds significant meaning not only for their family, but for many future families in Saskatchewan who find themselves in the NICU with twin babies.
The hospital is set to open late next year.
