Red Deer RCMP are still investigating after a man searching for antler sheds discovered what appears to be human remains.

What social media is claiming to be a human arm was found within the Gaetz Lakes Sanctuary on March 29 at 4:30 p.m. Police have not confirmed that it was an arm, but the case was turned over to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Police say the search for additional remains continues, however the sanctuary is large.

The medical examiner is working to determine the identity and potential cause of death of the remains.
