Battlefords RCMP are investigating after finding a 19-year-old man dead inside a vehicle on Mosquito Grizzly Bear’s Head Lean Man First Nation.

On March 8 at 12:45 p.m., officers were called to the scene.

Investigation determined an altercation occurred between two groups of people, both travelling in vehicles. During the altercation, a firearm was discharged, and the 19-year-old later died from his injuries.

Through investigation, 46-year-old Darren Wahobin was arrested on Mosquito Grizzly Bear’s Head Lean Man First Nation on Sunday.

He is facing two charges and is scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court today. The investigation continues.
