A traffic stop in Saskatoon’s Erindale neighbourhood, followed shortly thereafter by a search warrant executed in Sutherland, has resulted in three individuals facing charges from a drug trafficking investigation.
A Saskatoon Police Service news release says the Crime Reduction Team, with assistance from the Tactical Support Unit, conducted a traffic stop Thursday at about 2 p.m. in the 500 block of Kerr Road. A man and a woman, both 25 years old, were taken into custody without incident. Not long after, a search warrant was executed at a residence in the 100 block of Hedley Street and a 24-year-old man was arrested. All three individuals are facing 15 charges relating to drugs and possession of the proceeds of crime over five thousand dollars. Following is a list of seized items, which are pictured as well.
In total, police located and seized:
- 172.9 grams of cocaine
- 36.4 grams of Psilocybin (magic mushrooms)
- 15.6 grams of MDMA
- 14 Oxycodone pills
- $14,715 in cash
- cellular phones
- digital scales
- other packaging consistent with drug trafficking
- two machetes
- .22 calibre ammunition
- 12 gauge shotgun ammunition
- Various items related to proceeds of crime including a 2003 Lexus SUV
- two packages of illegal cigarettes
