Battlefords RCMP are busy dealing with two serious and separate collisions right now that have closed Highway 4 both north and south of the Battlefords.

The latest report came in just before 4 o’clock with the Saskatchewan RCMP news release saying a serious collision occurred on Highway 4 about seven kilometres south of Battleford. No additional details have been made available, outside of the fact that the highway is closed and detours are in place with motorists to expect delays in the area. A couple of hours earlier, Battlefords RCMP responded to a report of a serious collision on Highway 4, south of Cochin. That highway is also currently closed with detours in place. Motorists should expect delays in the area and, in both instances, are asked to follow the instructions of emergency personnel on the scene.
