The War Amps have launched the 2026 edition of their Address Label Campaign.
The Address Label Campaign is done as a way to say thank you to supporters, donors, and people who participate in the Key Tags Program.
The organization itself helps to support amputees across Canada through financial assistance by helping to pay for prosthetics, as well as through seminars.
Public Awareness Specialist with the War Amps Bob Maguire says seminars help connect amputees to each other.
“A lot of amputees they may be the only person that’s considered different in their hometown. So, these seminars bring amputees together and they can see someone else who has an arm or a leg like theirs, and those connections are very powerful.”
Maguire was born without part of his right hand and grew up as part of The War Amps Child Amputee Program, otherwise known as CHAMP. Through the program he received financial support and was able to attend child seminars to meet kids like himself.
Saskatchewan residents who donated or support The War Amps can expect to see their address label coming in the mail during early-mid November.
Donations are also accepted. People can donate by heading to https://waramps.ca/ways-to-give/donate/ or by calling 1-800-250-3030.
