So, a woman who posted a photo of she and her family, in Canada at the time, dressed in sweatshirts that read “Lake America” is no long CEO of the Family First Credit Union where she worked. A statement was posted to Family First Credit Union’s website this week, addressed to its members, that Jane Smith is “no longer an employee … effective immediately.” there is no indication if she left of her own volition or was terminated. The Credit Union also alluded to disappointment and pain that the photo had caused its members. Smith has told media outlets the photo was AI generated and that the tag indicating such was posted without that information. I’m not sure what difference that makes frankly – I’d suggest the sentiment she’s conveying prevails regardless. What is heartening is that apparently the actual citizens in the U.S. aren’t on board with some of the buffoonery taking place down south. And I think that’s a really good thing because freezing out our neighbours with buy Canadian and not travelling to the U.S. is getting to be a lot – in that we all we’re an integrate economy and land mass and neighbours and that’s is what matters because this too shall pass
