The Saskatoon Fire Department responded to a pallet fire behind a large retail store in the 300 block of Confederation Drive Saturday evening. Pictures on social media appear to indicate the fire was at the back of Canadian Tire.

Crews arrived to find a large stack of wooden and plastic pallets on fire, with flames burning against the building’s exterior wall. Firefighters had the blaze under control within about 10 minutes, and the fire was completely extinguished shortly afterward.

The store sustained light smoke damage, but there were no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters.

A fire investigator is on scene to determine the cause, origin and estimated damage.
