The annual WESK Entrepreneurs of the Year celebration is returning on September 16 to honor 50 women entrepreneurs.

The women will be recognized across seven different categories.

These categories are:

Community Catalysts: Entrepreneurs who leverage their time and influence to strengthen communities beyond their own organizations.

Culture Builders: Leaders who create workplaces rooted in trust, equity, and a shared sense of purpose.

Rooted & Rising: Saskatchewan-based entrepreneurs expanding their values-driven influence beyond the province.

Changemakers & Trailblazers: Entrepreneurs who challenge the status quo through innovation and courageous decision-making.

Expansion Experts: Leaders who achieve sustainable growth while maintaining people-first leadership and culture.

Emerging Entrepreneurs: Founders in their first 1-3 years who demonstrate exceptional promise and traction.

Lasting Legacy Honouree: An individual whose career has created enduring impact across Saskatchewan’s economy and entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Women are selected through an application process. The application looks at an applicant’s achievements, leadership, business impact, and their contributions to the community. Women applying do not need to be affiliated with WESK to be selected.

Client Services Manager with WESK, Cara Cote says the event has expanded this year to recognize more women entrepreneurs.

“The sheer volume of amazing applications we had received in the past, and it kinda dawned on us that we needed something more robust to really honour all these amazing women.”

The celebration is at Prairieland. The event has been sold out.
