The Saskatoon Police Service has charged a 15-year-old in relation to a weapons call on Monday.
Police were sent to the 400 block of Central Avenue around 7:10am after receiving a report of someone with a firearm.
Officers managed to locate the boy inside a residence where he was arrested without further incident. Police also located and seized a firearm from the room that the suspect was found in.
The 15-year-old has since been charged with:
- Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing Serial Number has been Tampered With
- Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
- Assault
- Breach of Court-Imposed Conditions
He appeared in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Tuesday.
