The Saskatoon Police Service say they have cleared the scene of a rush hour two-vehicle collision Wednesday morning at Highway 11 and 71st Street East.
Traffic restrictions that had been put in place have since been removed. According to a Saskatoon Fire Department (S-F-D) news release, the vehicles involved in the collision – that occurred around 8 o’clock – were an S-U-V and a light duty half ton truck. An S-F-D rescue crew used the “Jaws of Life” to extract both drivers from their vehicles. The driver of the truck was taken to hospital by Medavie Ambulance with serious injuries after being assessed at the scene by S-F-D paramedics. There was no report of injuries to the driver of the S-U-V.
