Downtown Saskatoon is kicking off summer with the return of the Downtown Saskatoon Sidewalk Sale.

The sidewalk sale will take place between today (July 9) and Saturday (July 11). The market will take place between 21st Street and 2nd Avenue and feature 100 local retailers, artisans, food partners, and interactive experiences for all ages. The market opens at 10am and closes at 5pm each day.

In celebration of Downtown Saskatoon’s 40th anniversary, this year will include expanded programming, special anniversary giveaways, and enhanced food and entertainment zones.

For daily entertainment and activities, there’s Hunter ’s Bowling Kids Zone for families with balloons, face painting, and games. Each afternoon, there will be live music at noon on the Scotia Centre Outdoor Stage throughout the three days.

From 10am to 7pm the celebration continues with the Re -Tailgate Party, featuring DJ Haywire, and Street -Eatery will serve up a mini food festival.

Parts of downtown will be closed over the next three days for the annual Downtown Sidewalk Sale.

The following roads will be closed daily from 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.:
” 2nd Avenue S from 22nd Street E to 23rd Street E
” 2nd Avenue S from 20th Street E to 22nd Street E
” 21st Street E from 1st Avenue S to 2nd Avenue S

Saskatoon Transit will temporarily adjust detour routes that currently run on the Traffic Bridge during this event.
