The Regina Police Service is asking for help in identifying a body found last week.
On June 9, at 4:15 p.m., police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Retallack Street. The caller told police they had discovered what appeared to be human remains buried outside the home.
Investigators have been methodically searching the area for evidence over the last week, and on Tuesday, an autopsy turned up some important information about the deceased.
The body is that of a male who was about five feet nine inches tall. He was between 30-40 years-old at the time of death, and the remains have been buried for a minimum of five years.
The autopsy unveiled that at some point in his life, the man sustained a broken jaw that required surgical treatment.
Anyone who has information that could assist police in this investigation is asked to contact the Regina Police Service or Regina Crime Stoppers.
