The Saskatoon Police Service says a 77-year-old woman is the city’s 7th homicide victim of 2026.

Patrol officers responded to an injured person report in the city’s Pleasant Hill neighbourhood around 10 p.m. Sunday.

They located the woman deceased inside a home in the 200 block of Avenue R South.

Members of the Major Crime Section and Forensic Identification Section are continuing to investigate. Anyone with information believed to be relevant to the investigation is asked to call police directly or report it anonymously to Crime Stoppers.
