On International Women’s Day, NDP Critic for the Status of Women, Brittney Senger, released a statement.
She says women often go unnoticed despite having contributed so much to make Saskatchewan and Canada great.
Senger adds that the provincial government is threatening to jeopardize several services that benefit women across Saskatchewan every day.
“We have a provincial government threatening the future of $10-a-day childcare, not taking gender-based violence seriously, and forcing women to leave the province for essential healthcare procedures that used to be offered at home, like mammograms.”
She concludes the statement by adding that the NDP will continue to fight for women to be valued and respected in all aspects.
