It started as a call to a single vehicle accident but became an investigation into a shooting after 22-year-old Clarence Sewap was seriously injured in November in Prince Albert.
The call came in from the 1000 block of 22nd Street east in the early morning hours of November 19th and officers found one vehicle at the scene but their investigation determined a second vehicle was involved and the occupants in that vehicle had fired a gun at the other vehicle. Clarence Sewap is continuing to recover from his injuries.
The continued investigation led to police arresting 18-year-old Kye Rees in Moosomin last week. He was in court Monday charged with attempted murder of Clarence Sewap. Rees is also charged with numerous firearms offences, criminal negligence causing bodily harm and failing to remain at a motor vehicle collision resulting in bodily harm.
A 42-year-old woman has also been charged with obstruction of justice for her role in the investigation.
