Saskatoon Police have identified the woman who was found deceased at a property in the city’s Dundonald neighbourhood.
Saskatoon Police officers responded to a call late Monday about an insecure property in the 3200 Block of 33rd Street West. Twenty-four-year-old Melissa Duquette’s body was found in the basement.
The Saskatoon Police Major Crime Section is now investigating this as Saskatoon’s 7th homicide.
On the heels of Saskatoon’s 7th homicide of 2024, Saskatoon Police are investigating the city’s eighth homicide after a shooting overnight. At 12:50 a.m. Tuesday police responded to reports of a shooting in the 200 block of Avenue O South.
Officers found a 25-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound and the victim was taken to RUH where he was pronounced dead. Saskatoon Police Major Crime Section and Forensic Identification Services continue to investigate.
