A tweet from the Saskatoon Air Support Unit said the occupant of a vehicle they were following was allegedly throwing bags of meth out the window.
The incident kicked off when police tried to pull over a car around 2:20 am Wednesday near Preston Avenue South and Willis Crescent. The vehicle didn’t stop and exited onto Circle Drive, but in between and betwixt that and an acreage on Valley Road, officers say the car slowed down with items being thrown from the window.
The Air Support Unit saw the driver jump out and run into a home which is where a suspect was located in the basement. The homeowners didn’t know this person and didn’t know that anyone was in the house until police arrived. Officers say the retrieved 85 grams in methamphetamine, a can of bear spray and 14 grams of cocaine.
