The Saskatoon Fire Department says a vehicle fire spread to nearby grassland and turned into a wildfire this morning.

The call came in at 9:45 a.m. of a vehicle fire at the entrance to Cathedral Bluffs. When firefighters arrived they saw an SUV fully involved in fire and spreading to the grassland. Multiple hoses were deployed to tackle both fires simultaneously quickly bringing them under control.

RCMP are investigating the cause of the fire.
