Dalmeny Waterskiier Cops October Sask Sport Top Athlete Award

Congratulations to Dalmeny’s Ashley Baerg, the latest recipient of the monthly Sask Sport Award for October.

Baerg placed first in all of her events at the 2018 U-S-A Adaptive National Waterski Championships. She broke her own world record in the jump category. Following is the news release from Sask Sport…

Sask Sport Inc. Announces the October

Athlete of the Month Award Recipient

 

Ashley Baerg of Dalmeny is the recipient of the Sask Sport Inc. October Athlete of the Month Award. She was nominated by Waterski Wakeboard Saskatchewan.

 

Competing in the 2018 USA Adaptive National Waterski Championships, Baerg broke her previous world record in the jump category of 17.2 metres by posting a 17.9 m mark. She has held the record since spring of 2017. She placed first in all her events, achieving the highest overall cost score of all women in all classifications. Her overall cost score was the second highest in the tournament when adding in the men’s results.
