The Canadian Federation of Independent Business says two-thirds of Canadian small businesses have been negatively affected by the Canada Post strike. 57 per cent of small firms in Saskatchewan say their cash flow has been affected. 35 per cent say they are waiting for the delivery of products or supplies. 31 per cent say their shipments to customers have been delayed. 66 per cent support back-to-work legislation. That’s exactly what the federation is calling for. President Dan Kelly says, “The rotating strikes have gone on long enough.” Monique Moreau, Vice-President of National Affairs says, “Postal unions should be particularly concerned with the finding that 65 per cent of small firms intend to use Canada Post less in the future.”
