Carson Stadnyk of Saskatoon is the Canada West hockey WHL grad of the month.
The former Everett Silvertips forward had nine points in six regular season games for the University of Saskatchewan Huskies over the month of October.
Stadnyk has ten points on four goals and six assists in eight games to sit tied for first in the Canada West hockey points race with team mate Kohl Bauml and Alberta’s Riley Kieser.
The Huskies are first in the conference standings at 7-1 heading into a weekend doubleheader against the Thunderbirds at U-B-C.
Meanwhile Nikolas Baikas of the Huskies men’s soccer team has been named for the U-Sports all-rookie team.
The midfielder from Saskatoon led the Huskies in goals (4) and points (10) while recording the tenth most points in a season in Huskies history.
