Delisle, SK – The Delisle Chiefs of the Prairie Junior Hockey League (PJHL) have acquired ‘98 Forward, Austin LINNEN (Raymore, SK), from the Carrot River Outback Thunder of the PJHL’s Bob Dybvig North Division. Linnen is currently on top of the PJHL Scoring race.
In return, the Thunder will receive the playing rights of ‘00 Forward, Damon VANDERLINDE (Humboldt, SK) and the playing rights of ‘99 Forward, Reagan PONCELET (Humboldt, SK)
In 7 games this year, LINNEN has notched 7 goals and 11 assists for 18 points. He leads the PJHL in assists and points and is second in goal scoring. He’s also had success on the power play early in the season with 6 points (2 goals, 4 assists) through 7 games.
In 87 career regular season games in the PJHL with the Carrot River Outback Thunder, LINNEN had 108 points (41 goals, 67 assists) for a 1.2 PPG clip and 75 penalty minutes. In 17 career playoff games, he scored 10 points (6 goal, 4 assists)

“In adding Austin Linnen, we get a 40 point per season player (1.0 ppg) who is in his third season in the PJHL. We are excited to add his left handed shot to our line-up.”
The first-place Delisle Chiefs host the Saskatoon Royals tomorrow evening in Delisle. Opening face-off is at 8:00pm. On Sunday afternoon, the Delisle Chiefs travel to Regina to take on the Regina Capitals in a re-match of last year’s PJHL Final. Game time is 2:15pm at the Al Ritchie Arena.
